Ohio is looking particularly blue which is great. I then compared how many electoral votes each state has and decide that it was between North Carolina and Missouri. I checked airline tickets and found a fair from Oakland to Richmond Virginia for $205 including taxes. So I bought the ticket... and no, I do not have a return flight yet :) I figure I will probably be leaving from North Carolina not Virginia. A close friend from photography school, Aleisha Mijares has a spare car I can use while I am there and her mother has agreed to pick me up at the airport... no more asking strangers for rides I guess.
The plan as it stands now is to go out there and promote early voting, pass out vote by mail ballots, and make sure people know where their polling place is. Rock the Vote has a great link to find out where everyone's polling place is and which states are doing early voting.
Things that would be helpful:
a) Ideas of where I should go in North Carolina. Again... I know no one in the state of North Carolina, nor have I ever been there.
b) A mac book I could borrow for my trip- 4 days (next Wed-Sun). My desktop is too large to carry around and the keyboard on my iPhone was too small to update my blog daily from Florida. I would like to keep you all updated with my whereabouts.
c)Someone/s who is extra sociable, comfortable being independent, who is eager to walk up to strangers and shamelessly promote President Obama... and that wants to come with me.
I of course will go it alone, and love it... but it would be nice to have a partner to be able to reach more people.
I will update my donation and expense list this week. I also will be going to one more swing state the weekend before the election... I am thinking Colorado?

That is all for now.

Frankie

Frankie,
I have absolutely loved reading your blogs . I know I am in a blue state, but PLEASE let me know if you come to Maryland. I would love to participate any way I can... WORD!
I've contacted a friend in Asheville...I have the feeling that Raleigh-Durham-Chapel Hill is blanketed with systematic Obama supporters already so am not sure whether there are enough uncommitted voters left in the Research Triangle to make it productive. Asheville is much more art-oriented.
Hi Frankie
I loved seeing the electoral map - a couple or few weeks ago I did one - http://www.HeyDudeWheresMySite.com/ObamaWinsByLandslide.gif
If you need more $$$ at any point beyond what I have donated please let me know - I want first rights to helping if you need more! (Yes, it's all about me I know...) LOL
LOVE
Alan
